We are seeking a motivated Content Editor in Shopping to oversee our content publishing needs in a fast-paced work environment. You will be part of the busy Content Team and will help to produce and maintain shopping content on our websites and apps.


This is a part-time role starting immediately, 20 hours a week between Monday to Friday. Working hours will be 4 hours a day between the company core hours 10 am to 4 pm. 


For this position, you will be working mostly from home and come to the office when needed to meet with your team members and manager (once a month minimum).

Main Responsibilities:


  • Be responsible for content planning, editing, updating and regular maintenance, check content styles, grammar, accuracy, and legality of content and arrange for any necessary amendments
  • Write and publish content (text, graphic, audio, video) for the company’s digital platforms according to schedules, ensuring all content and images adhere to the company’s content requirements and brand guidelines
  • Determine fresh topics and new content ideas to be covered by researching users' demands, keywords, tracking and reviewing performance data using analytical tools, monitoring and researching the latest UK shopping trends, competitor activities and attending reviews and events
  • Take part in team content planning and scheduling, collaborate with other content / social media and departments and ensure that assigned works are completed on time
  • Work with senior editors to select suitable content to be distributed on the company’s marketing channels and during campaigns
  • Contribute feedback and new ideas on the overall technical product user experience and functionality, take part in product testing
  • Communicate with internal teams and clients to discuss content briefs and submit previews for approval
  • Assign work to junior team members and freelancers, review their work for accuracy, content style, grammar, and legality
  • Provide necessary ad hoc and cover support to other content editors and the management teams.


Requirements:


  • 1 year+ minimum relevant web content creation and editing experience
  • Able to edit and write copy accurately and clearly, understanding how to tailor content to suit different audiences
  • Knowledge and curious about the UK way of life and culture
  • Have a deep understanding of the needs of our target audience
  • Demonstrated ability to create fresh and engaging content
  • Have a solid understanding of SEO & content marketing principles and practices
  • Attention to detail; previous experience of proofreading someone else’ work is desirable
  • Have strong visual and creative eyes, passionate about photography and layout is desirable
  • Strong and clear written and verbal communication skills in both, Mandarin Chinese and English
  • Proficient working knowledge of written English and adequate level of conversational English required
  • Shopping enthusiast, strong knowledge of the UK shopping information and how to spot trends
  • Very good team player who values the importance of teamwork and effort
  • Ability to work well under pressure to meet tight deadlines
